4:10 PM Increasing Security Awareness and Safeguards within ICS and SCADA Systems to Maximize Cyber Resilience

‘Industroyer’ is considered to be the biggest threat to industrial control systems since ‘Stuxnet’. Kiev’s December 2016 blackout becomes only the second time in history that a power grid has been disrupted via digital attack. With ICS and SCADA targeting malware floating around, the need to capitalize on cyber security is greater than ever. There is now an increased need for industries to consider an ‘immune system’ approach that enables early detection and response to emerging threats. In this session Elena will discuss:

  • How to encourage security awareness and safeguards to ensure a long-term strategic approach
  • Establishing a proactive approach within executive level management in order to maintain regular assessments
  • Implementing effective security frameworks to protect SCADA systems against cyber threats
